I started Ben-David Financial Planning, a fee-only financial planning firm, out of a desire and a knack to help individuals identify their dreams and desires and then to plan their finances in order to support those dreams and to live a healthy, balanced life.  While financial planning is the medium for planning, creating a beautiful and meaningful life is the underpinning value of what I do.  My goal is to use my knowledge, gifts and financial skills to help individuals realize how empowered they are to create their own lives.  Special interests will have us believe that we are small and powerless but I work to show my clients that when they take full responsibility for their lives, wonderful things are possible.  I work to help people become aware of the stress they have around finances and to alchemize that energy into other things, like living life!

 

I started working in the financial services industry in 1997, after moving to the Bay Area from New Orleans.  In 2004, I passed my exam and finished my experience requirements, becoming a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) practitioner and Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).  After two decades of conferences and continuing education, I realized that this certification no longer served me, as I would study and learn the things necessary on my own, regardless of certification requirements which actually taught me very little.

 

As of 2024, I am not taking new clients but I am always happy to talk with people and offer advice, if I can.  I especially enjoy talking with people who are ready to recognize the corruption in government and finance and then to take control of their lives.
